The phone is now setup and ready to use with your Vonage Business extension.
click Account Settings from the main menu to access the Preferences menu. Click OK at the bottom right of the screen to confirm all changes.Use the < < button to move all codecs except G711 uLaw to the Available Codecs column on the left. Select Audio Codes from the left navigation pane.Click Softphone, then Preferences from the main menu.Click OK at the bottom of the page to confirm all changes.Uncheck Send SIP keep-alives under the Connection Management section.Under the Register Settings section change Reregister every to 30 seconds.Click on the Advanced tab and make the following changes:.Verify that the Domain radio button is selected in the Domain Proxy section,.Domain: :5060 (XXXXXX is your Vonage Business account number).Enter the following information in the User Details section that you documented when you added the softphone to an extension in your Online Account:.NOTE: Marking the option for IM/Presence results in audio quality issues or loss of registration. Uncheck the IM/Presence box under the Allow this account for section.Open X-Lite, then click Account Settings from the Softphone menu.Download and install the X-Lite Softphone.SIP Password (If you do not know the extension’s SIP Password, just change it and click Save.).You will need this when you download and install the softphone. Make note of the following information.Go to Add a Phone to an Extension to start the process. Add the softphone to an extension on the account.Probably you havent allowed extension to register outside of LAN (default setting) or you managed to block the IP address of the phone. If you are having problems please log a support ticket at for assistance. There are no issue of registering 3rd party SIP devices, including X-lite with 3CX. One possible work-around is to go back into the Accounts section and in the Domain Proxy settings at the bottom of the page click on Proxy and then enter ':50600' as the Proxy address and then click OK. You may have a router or firewall device which is blocking or interfering with the SIP (VoIP traffic) used to connect to our service.If you can login to NOW then your details must be correct and your account is working To check this login to the NOW interfacewith the phone number and password you entered into X-Lite. Your account is not activated or your password is incorrect.
If you are having problems getting connected using X-Lite then the issue may be one of the following: Close the accounts window and X-Lite should be ready to start making and receiving calls.Click OK and then you should see your account created and a green light should appear in the Status column if the phone has registered successfully.Authorization name: your-phone-number (e.g.Display name: your-phone-number (or your actual name if you prefer).your password entered when you signed up) Follow the installation instructions and then setup your microphone/speaker device on Startup.Download the X-Lite client for your operating system at.Here is how to install the X-Lite client to work with 2talk: You can also upgrade to the Counterpath Bria client for a more feature rich client.
